People Change When...

People change when
.
They’ve learned enough to want to
.
They hurt so much they have to
.
They’ve lost everything that stopped them from having to sooner
.
No matter what is driving us toward change it’s probably going to involve some pain.
.
The pain of learning something new
The pain of consequences
Or
The pain of regret
.
We can choose to see the need for change as a negative that victimizes us or we can see it as an opportunity to become who we are meant to be.
.
Our biggest challenges are often a part of what creates our purpose in life. Growing past a challenge is a transformation process. Building new habits each day that transform us into who we need to be to have the results we want.
.
Growing means healing. When we are healed from habits that have caused us harm we can be a model for those not yet healed. Kindness is sharing what you know from our own suffering so others may be spared some.
.
The biggest impact on other peoples lives almost always comes from our most painful experiences. We can choose to be a victim of what has driven us to need to change or we can step into the opportunity it provides.
