This Information Blew My Mind!
What the heck?? This information blew my mind! How did I not know this? I pulled this information right off of Web MD after hearing it on a health podcast last night, yet nobody has EVER mentioned this to me EVER!!
I even cross referenced it on multiple holistic health websites.
I first went to the doctor for hair loss, about nine years ago, back when I was taking a lot of NSAIDs for menstrual pain.
I can’t even begin to mention how many women complain about hair loss to me over the years. They go to a doctor and get no explanation for it at all. “Bloodwork looks normal”.
Check this out from Web MD and American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
Medications can lead to two types of hair loss: telogen effluvium and anagen effluvium.”
“Telogen effluvium is the most common form of drug-induced hair loss. It usually appears within 2 to 4 months after taking the drug.
This condition causes the hair follicles to go into their resting phase (telogen) and fall out too early. People with telogen effluvium usually shed between 30% to 70% more than the normal 100 and 150 hairs a day”.
Most hair loss from medications is this type and causes include retinoids, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, antidepressants, and NSAIDs (including ibuprofen).”
Alot of people think nothing about taking an NSAID or ibuprofen everyday
I think we are programmed to think that there aren’t side affects to these pain relievers, but there are. We just aren’t aware of them.
Since switching to CBD for pain relief and getting on minerals I have definitely noticed way less hair loss. I wish I had known this a long time ago!
