Worth It

Worth It
With more info available than ever and an obvious health crisis in the nation it blows my mind that some people still do not think organic is “worth it”.
.
From John Stossel to my old neighbor there are still people that think that organic is nothing more than a conspiracy to charge more for food.
.
Not all organic is created equal. Enter a little something called green washing. Take a processed product put it in a natural looking box and slap an organic label on it. Ta da, it’s organic must be healthy. No. Must’ve been sourced right? No, not necessarily.
.
Greenwashed products have no business stamping themselves organic. That’s like putting lipstick on a pig and declaring it Miss. Universe.
This practice down grades the organic label for real food and what it means. It goes on because most greenwashed products are owned by conventional companies. 💰
.
Organic means a lot in the world of whole food. An organic farmer, especially one who focuses on regenerative farming practices goes through a purposeful process to bring you an unadulterated nutrient rich product. Choosing to enrich pastures use poly farming practices and create an ecology that is self sustaining.

.
Studies show that organically grown food has higher amounts of Vit C, mag, phosphorous, and iron – nutrients vital for the healthy function of our bodies. Organic fruits and vegetables are high in nutrients and antioxidants. Data shows that organic milk contains far more omega-3 fatty acids than conventional milk. (Soil ass.org)
.
Organic meat, poultry and eggs come from animals that have been given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Synthetic hormones have been linked to premature reproductive development in human females and health problems in livestock.
.
Organic producers do not use genetic engineering or genetically modified organisms. Releasing GMOs into the environment without proper research has unknown consequences on human health, the environment, and biodiversity.🐝
.
Visit a regenerative organic farm and then visit a factory farm. Somehow I’m betting you’ll find it more than worth it.
