You’re Never Going To Be Done And That’s A Good Thing
You’re never going to be done and that’s a good thing. Life is ever changing and so should our health strategies.
We will never be “done” tending to our health so its really important that the journey is enjoyable.
During the many seasons of life we find ourselves with different sets of circumstances.
Sometimes we will,
Cook for a family
Be cooking for one
Start a new job
Sprain an ankle
Put out our back
Have less free time
Have more free time
Go on vacation
Be a parent of a school age child
Be a parent of an adult
Take care of an elderly person
Drive to work
Walk to work
Ride to work
The top of one hill is the bottom of the next.
When we view health as a singular hill to conquer it sets a tone that we will one day be done tending to it. Although that’s true that one day is when we are dead. 🤪Not a good strategy. 😂
Enduring to a strict regiment or protocol to get to the top of that hill rarely lasts long term. Many find it hard to continue when we find little to no enjoyment out of doing it. The good news is we don’t have to torture ourselves to be healthy.
Building a lifestyle you love that brings the health results you want is the key to feeling good long term.
Being able to adapt our lifestyle to any set of circumstances is a skill set. It’s true you will never be done but what you will find is you don’t want to be because you love what you are doing.
